About AI fundamentals at OSU
A microcredential is an academic offering that consists of typically three courses and allows learners to add specialized skills in focused subject areas in less time than a full degree program.
Each microcredential provides a broad-based introduction to artificial intelligence that is built on ethical principles and tailored to real-world contexts. Each consists of three courses:
- AI for Everyone: A non-coding, accessible introduction to AI and machine learning
- AI Ethics: Tackling urgent topics like bias, surveillance, misinformation and power
- AI in [Discipline]: Such as psychology, public policy or business analytics
Together, these microcredentials provide learners with in-demand skills and the ability to understand, question and apply AI in ways that create value and uphold human-centered principles
